GORDON PEARSON

WOW Scotland is run by Gordon Pearson – a 28 year old born and bred in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. Gordon has a passion for all things Scottish and his enthusiasm for his native country always shines through (he was a finalist in the ‘Young Highland Ambassador Award’ in 2011). Gordon’s easy going style brings the history and the landscapes of the area to life.

When not guiding tours or running outdoor activities, Gordon spends his time exploring Scotland’s many wild places, seeking out great new spots to take visitors to.

ANDREW MACDONALD

No it's not Sean Connery!

No it's not Sean Connery it's our very own Andy - a better singer than Sean and better looking too!

Andrew is one of the few tour guides around to have a ‘licence to thrill’  having once worked as a Sean Connery look-alike! Andrew has  lived and worked in the Highlands all his life and and is well known in folk music circles and as your tour progresses Andrew will entertain you with traditional Scottish folk songs. Andrew is a member of the Clan Donald Society and has always had an avid interest in researching the history of the Highlands.  Andrew was previously the manager of a leading postcard and guide book publishers and he quite literally helped ‘write the book’   on one of the earliest guides to the Highlands.

Dave controversially dancing with Gordon's mother-in-law

DAVE PEARSON

There is nothing Dave likes more than dancing and if you’re lucky he may even show you a few moves! When not dancing his way round the Highlands, Dave runs tours for WOW Scotland and is able to share with you his knowledge of the local area, gained by growing up and working here his whole life.

If you are on tour with Dave you are in a very reliable and knowledgable pair of hands and he will ensure that  you have a fantastic day out in the Highlands. Dave runs a lot of Invergordon Shore Excursions, although  you may also see him on some of our other tours, including the Whisky Galore (whisky is his second love after dancing!).

Oh – and if you hadn’t guessed – Dave is Gordon’s father.

ZANE WRIGHT

Her name may sound foreign but Zane is as Highland as they come (brought up on a croft no less!). Zane has recently returned to her Highland roots after living away for many years and is now studying for a degree in Scottish Cultural Studies The course contains a wonderful mix of Gaelic, literature, history and archaeology with a Highland focus and has provided her with a real appetite for sharing her knowledge about this stunningly beautiful and remote region. She is a keen birder and spends time on the seashores and loch sides looking out for waders, ducks and seabirds as well as looking for our more elusive birds such as the capercaillie, golden eagle and sea eagle.

BEN COOLING

Ben is one of our great freelance mountain guides and he always ensures that our clients have a great time on the hill. He is equally at home leading someone up the Carn Mor Dearg arrete on Ben Nevis as he is doing an easy day walk in the Cairngorms. Before becoming a regular addition to WOW Scotland, Ben proved his mettle in the Royal Marines and also spent some time living in New Zealand.
