As with all our tours there are so many different options of what to do on your trip. Here is are favourite one.

Our tour starts in historic Inverness and the stories will begin to flow as soon as you meet your guide. As they drive out of Inverness and towards Loch Ness you will be transported into fantastic scenery and in a very short time you will arrive at one of our favourite views of Loch Ness where we stop to take a picture. The journey continues along to the Falls of Foyers, which thanks to wet climate always has a lot of water chuntering over it.

We then head over the hills, following old military roads built to force us Highlanders to behave ourself (we never did!). There are great views from above before heading back down for more great views of Loch Ness and a quick visit to Fort Augustus and it’s fabulous canal locks.

We pass through more great scenery and often stop at a country house for coffee and scones before heading into Glengarry for more great scenery.  We pass the Dundreggan Estate where we will see some of the great conservation work being done by ‘Trees for Life’ to rebuild the Caledonian Pine Forest. The tour passes Loch Cluanie with it’s hydroelectric dam and there is a chance to get out here and get some great views of the local area. We then head down into Glensheil where we see the awe-inspiring Five Sisters of Kintail. At the the end of the Glen we arrive at the West Coast which we follow round towards Eilean Donan Castle where we have plenty of time to explore this wonderful castle.

Some people may choose an optional add of going round to Plockton or crossing the Skye Bridge  for great views of Skye. Others may be interested in visiting the fantastic pre-historic Brochs in Glenelg.

On our return jouruney we loop round by Strathcarron and the Black Isle for more stunning scenery including Loch Carron and the wonderful mountains of the NW Highlands (and their equally wonderful gaelic names – An Ruadh Stac, Sgurr Ruadh, Fuar Tholl, Maol Chean Dearg).

This truly is a day out to remember!
